Short Mat News

The Lindsay Lawn Bowling Club is honoured to be hosting the Canadian National Short Mat Championships from Nov 30-Dec 6. This is the second year in a row that we are hosting. If you would like to help bring this prestigious event to the LEX, please contact the club.

Check out our Short Mat Page for results from our latest tournament (Sponsored by Mind Garden Wellness) and information about our next one – our annual Chili Bowl (Sponsored by Lindsay Ear Clinic) held on April 25 at the Lindsay Curling Club.

Lawn Bowling is a game where all people aged 10 and up can play together both competitively and recreationally. Physical strength plays a small part in the game while skill and strategy are the real factors. Whether you are looking for new friends, light exercise, social or competitive interaction; Lawn Bowling has it all.

New members are always welcome. Please join us at one of our Give it a Try sessions or our open house. At these sessions we will explain some basic rules, provide bowls and go through some game etiquette. Please dress for the weather and make sure to wear flat soled shoes (no heels) to protect our greens.
